Students, faculty, and staff from the Higher Education Climate Consortium, partnered with a TreeVitalize neighborhood tree planting and with two Western Pennsylvania Conservancy community gardens on October 24th, 2009 in a day of service. 35 volunteers helped to plant 20 trees in a South Side neighborhood and Downtown they helped prepare two community gardens for winter.
