Future City Competition

Future City Competition WinnersThe Mascaro Center’s IGERT students served as mentors for the 2008 and 2009 National Engineers Week Future City Competition.  The goal of the competition is to provide a fun and exciting educational engineering program for seventh- and eighth-grade students that combines a stimulating engineering challenge with a "hands-on" application to present their visions of a city of the future.

In 12008, IGERT students Bhavna Sharma and Dave Sanchez worked with the Carmalt Academy of Science and Technology.  The team won the Best Transportation System Award in the competition.
